Learn About the Auctioneer

Jesse Sanchez, founder of Hammerhead Auctions, has been connected to auctions for as long as he can remember. His passion began in childhood, sitting beside his father at local auction houses, watching the rhythm of the bid call, the excitement of discovery, and the way each item carried a story from one person to the next. Those early memories shaped him deeply — not just as an auctioneer, but as someone who values people, history, and community.

Before establishing Hammerhead Auctions in 2026, Jesse spent more than a decade selling on eBay, gaining real‑world experience in pricing, market trends, item research, and connecting buyers with meaningful finds. Throughout those years, his wife Jenni stood right beside him — helping manage listings, organizing inventory, and supporting the business every step of the way. Together, they built a strong foundation in resale, customer service, and honest, transparent transactions.

Jesse’s professional background is strengthened by his education and leadership experience. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Rock Valley College, graduating with High Honors and making the President’s List. He continued his academic journey by completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, graduating summa cum laude, demonstrating his discipline, work ethic, and commitment to excellence.

His career includes roles that shaped his approach to business and leadership. As a Supervisor at UPS, Jesse learned how to manage teams, coordinate logistics, and maintain high standards in fast‑paced environments. He later advanced to become an Assistant Store Manager at Sherwin‑Williams, where he strengthened his skills in retail operations, customer solutions, inventory management, team development, and organizational leadership. These experiences taught him how to run a business with structure, professionalism, and integrity — qualities he now brings into every auction he conducts.

Jenni brings her own impressive background to Hammerhead Auctions. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Illinois University, adding academic strength and professional insight to the business. She also gained valuable management experience working at UPS in the Feeder Department, where she developed strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics — all of which translate seamlessly into the auction world. Her attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to helping others make her an essential part of the Hammerhead team.

Beyond the business, Jesse and Jenni are dedicated family people. Everything they build — every auction, every relationship, every step forward — is part of a larger mission: creating a strong, stable future for their children. Hammerhead Auctions is more than a company; it’s a legacy project, a foundation for the life they’re building together.

For Jesse, auctioneering is a calling rooted in service. He believes every seller deserves respect, every buyer deserves fairness, and every auction should be run with integrity. He brings a calm, steady presence to situations that can feel overwhelming, guiding families and business owners through important transitions with professionalism and care.

Hammerhead Auctions reflects Jesse’s personality: bold, reliable, and built with intention. He created the company to serve Brunswick County and the surrounding communities with a modern, trustworthy auction experience — one that honors the past, supports the present, and builds a legacy for the future.

Whether you’re selling a lifetime collection, liquidating a business, or searching for your next great find, Jesse approaches every auction with the same commitment: treat people right, work with excellence, and make every sale meaningful.
